Derby to me is excitement! It’s proving that I can be tough and still be a girl. It’s pushing myself when I think I can’t go any more.
Derby is making new friends; having a family outside of my home. Derby is doing something I love with the people I love. It’s something I can do to express myself around other people. Derby helps me figure out who I am. It helps me with discipline, respect, and working with other people. It’s something I can do to get away from everything else around me. Derby is my passion. Skating is my life and derby is something I want to do forever.
