To me, roller derby is more than just a sport; it’s a life style. Ever since I got dragged to the first practice, mostly against my will(because I’m incredibly shy), I’ve been obsessed with it. It’s absolutely amazing and it’s made me so much more outgoing and happy than I was before. Not to be cliche, but roller derby is my passion.
The pure exhilaration of the jams, whether blocking or jamming, is absolutely incredible. Thursday (practice day) is my favorite day of the week now. And the amazing girls that I play with are practically the sisters I’ve never had. They’re so supportive, funny, and great, it’s just awesome to be apart of an actual team. I love it and my coaches and my girls so much that it’s just crazy. CRAZY.
