Skates on a Plane!!

When there is not an action packed derby event going on here in Columbia, SC, our CQS rollergirls often travel the state to participate in Roller Derby Invitationals. This past Saturday, three of our girls, Dani Dynamite, Doli Derringer, and Crystal Cutt joined derby girls from around the state in the Palmetto State Rollergirls’ charity bout “Derby for Herby” . Converging in Myrtle Beach, SC, every penny raised by derby enthusiasts went to help Herb Newcomb, an uninsured, long-time PSRG volunteer who was recently rushed to the Medical University of South Carolina for brain and heart surgery.
Dani Dynamite and Doli Derringer decided to arrive in Myrtle Beach, SC in style via an Engine Cirrus plane equipped with its very own parachute. Skates on a plane sounds like a much more exciting movie title!
This trip was AWESOME! Thanks to our pilot, Robbie, for getting us there in style and so much safety! I believe we will make a derby fan out of him yet!
