How’d you pick your name? I have a tendency to randomly start dancing pretty much anywhere at any time…and I have fiery red hair. Combust (red hair) + Busting a Move (the dancing) =ComBUST A. Move! Doesn’t it just make you want to boogey down?!
Hometown: Little Mountain, SC (really, its just a big hill)

Real job: Research Director at WIS Televisions. Basically…sales marketing with a fancy title.
You wouldn’t know I……? have been sky diving, do not drink coffee/tea/soda, spend the majority of my free time volunteering with Blue Star Mothers/ military-related organizations. Support the troops! (Who can resist a man in uniform?)

Gear you can’t live without?: Ummm, ALL of it. The helmet is probably pretty important…I don’t need to rattle my brain. I’m already crazy enough as it is.
Why did you join CQS? My friend had been trying to talk me into it for 6 months…I finally went to a practice and thought “dang, this looks like a lot of fun.” I was hooked!
What do you like most about Derby? It is a great workout and a good stress reliever. Not to mention you instantly gain like 50 new best friends.
What’s your favorite derby memory? Not dying the first time Chuck gave me an arm whip.
What’s your derby mantra? Pain is just weakness leaving the body. (Oo-rah!)
What’s your greatest derby accomplishment? Passing my 25 laps in 5 minutes on the first try…and in 3:56! Woot, woot!
What is your favorite move? Dropping like it’s hot…you didn’t clarify dancing or derby…so I went with dancing.
Likes: Travelin, sarcasm, Gamecock football, vulgar jokes, music, volunteering, driving aimlessly with the windows down and the music up, wrapping up in sheets right out of the dryer, shoes, highly-caloric foots, the lake/pool/beach (basically any body of water), DERBY, and dancing.
Dislikes: Hopeless romantics, drama, creepy-crawly things, yard work, traffic, bad hair days, pessimism, jerks, cold weather, cockiness.
Severe Injuries: None yet…hope it stays that way. I currently have 16 bruises on my body…do those count? I’ve looked abused since I started.
Favorite teammate to work with is…..? I’m an equal opportunity derby teammate. But, I will give a shout out to Beefy for drafting me into derby and to Truck and Chuck for being awesome derby teachers!!
